A RADICALLY DIFFERENT COMMUNITY IN ORANGE COUNTY

Who we are

The Table is a progressive Christian community marked by radical inclusion, holy conversation and service to our community.

We believe Christ is powerfully present and God’s Word becomes alive in our interactions with each other.  Our worship is grounded in the ancient worship practices of the church expressed in fresh, new, and creative ways. We gather in round tables so we may be fully present with each other, sharing our stories and our faith experiences. This also allows us to be active listeners, to build community and to flesh out the Living Word of God among us.  We don’t sit in pews and listen, we gather in dynamic circles and participate in a holy conversation!

What we believe

All are welcome at The Table

And all means all

All races, all national backgrounds,

All economic levels, all educational levels,

All gender identities, all sexual orientations,

All political leanings, all differently-abled people in mind and in body,

All who are wise and all who are confused,

All who live here and all who are passing through,

All who are religious and all who are seeking,

All who are far off and all who are near,

All who have found love and all who have lost it,

All who are settled and all who are questioning,

All who celebrate this welcome statement and all who fear it,

All who desire to be reconciled in Christ’s love.

SUNDAYS

Time & Location

Sundays 11:00am

215 N. Lemon St. Fullerton CA. 92832

The Table OC meets in the Parish Hall at First Lutheran Church Fullerton. Follow the teal signs located at the front of the building on Wilshire Ave. or in the back parking lot.

What to expect

Every Sunday we gather in the Parish Hall at First Lutheran Church Fullerton at 11:00am to be present with each other and engage in Holy Conversations. You will be greeted by our members and are invited to get a name tag with your name and pronouns. There will be round tables for folks to sit at, with a basket of paper, pens, crayons, fidgets, and Table Tokens in the middle of each table. Feel free to use any of these items to help ground yourself or take notes. If you would like to participate in the day’s table discussion, take a Table Token to signify you are open to talk. If you don’t feel like sharing that day, no worries! Your presence here is enough, and we pray God speaks to you through listening to others. All are welcome at The Table, and all means ALL.

During our hour (sometimes an hour 15min) long service, there will always be a Call to Worship (a poem, prayer, or song to prepare our hearts), a reading from Scripture, a Holy Conversation (a discussion about the text), checking-in with each other on our “highs and lows”, prayers of the people, and Holy Communion.

The Parish Hall is a big spacious room with room for small kids to play/color in the midst of the tables (bigger kids/teens are invited to participate in our Holy Conversations. Their voice matters!). There is coffee, tea, music, and two single-stall gender inclusive restrooms.
